Emo-Violence, often shortened to 'Screamo' is a subgenre of punk music centred around the emotive hardcore movement. It is essentially second-wave emo taken to Indian Summer's direction. It uses a "chaotic" and "abrasive" style to the general emo sound, also increasing the tempo generally. It is very influential to second-wave post-hardcore.
