Sorgetid is a finnish folklorisitc one man metalband founded in 2009.

Svarthök, born in 1991 founded his solo project during a heavy period in his life. Sorgetid means (time of sorrow). The main idea was to, like one of his first influences In Flames, describe the darker side of life.¨

"I've always been inspired by folklore and mythology from scandinavia, and well, i thought maybe to try a folklore genre for lyrics and metal. And i thought, lets go for it"

Due to personal problems the project didint get a good start

"I had a major depression and inspiration wasn't a part of that time. Not untill beginning of 2012 i felt a spark that made me get into Sorgetid on full time"
