I've written off this album as being the band's "accessible/pop" album for so long but after re-listening to it today I'm tempted to say it's their underrated masterpiece. There's such joy here, and yet at the same time such deep melancholy. This album feels like the most beautiful encapsulation of the human race I've ever heard.

A delightful, beautiful blend of dream pop and post-rock, this album never fails to transport me to faerie. To steal someone else's analogy of this band, this album is more selkie than troll. This is a pleasant day at the festival where you browse the stalls and eat lunch upon the warm grass.

I know this is shameless self-promotion, but if you guys enjoy this album like I have for years, you might like my own self-released album. It's a collection of ambient tracks, but it's hugely inspired by Sigur Rós, Riceboy Sleeps, Brian Eno, etc. so if you're into any of those fine names you might like this!! seen in the context of the stellar three albums that preceded it, this was really somewhat disappointin imo... good, enjoyable but agáetis, ( ) and takk... are much more inspired, original, here they often repeated themselves and the new "hurrah" style songs were weaker than the previous stuff. it also downgraded their live gigs I think.
