"Real Emo" only consists of My Chemical Romance. What is known by "Emo" is nothing but Alternative Rock with questionable real emo influence. When people try to argue that My Chemical Romance is not real emo, while saying that others are, I can't help not to cringe because any band other than My Chemical Romance is fake emo. Real emo sounds ENERGETIC, POWERFUL and somewhat HATEFUL. Fake emo is weak, self pity and a failed attempt to direct energy and emotion into music. The only example of REAL EMO is My Chemical Romance. Some examples of FAKE EMO are Wu-Tang Clan, Björk, and Bob Marley. EMO BELONGS TO MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE, NOT TO INDIE, POP PUNK, ALT ROCK OR ANY OTHER MAINSTREAM GENRE.

No but seriously imagine it: You’re seeing fall out boy on a concert. Everyone is having a great time. Fall out boy seem a little excited. “We have a surprise for you guys.” Partick says. All of a sudden P!ATD come out and start singing “this is gospel.” When Brendon gets to the chorus, someone else starts singing… “When I was a young boy my father took me into the city to see a marching band.” Lights flash everywhere, and you see FOB singing “this is gospel” along with P!ATD, while MCR is singing “Black parade”. Everyone in the crowd is going wild and crying. Then if things couldn’t get any better, Dan and Phil walk onto stage and kiss, holding the gay flag.
