Formally named "Kikai Hanten."
Formed in 2002 as a cover band for YES' "Drama" album.
Shortly thereafter, started playing original material and had a live debut in 2005, acquiring fair reputation for their melodic materials with dramatic "prog" touch and for their energetic live performances as well.
Released the first demo CD in December 2006.
In 2008, bassist Tsuruma joined the band, greatly enhancing their instrumental potentials and also enabling Tanamura to concentrate in his vocal performances in full. Also, changed the band name to "Machine Messiah" aiming for possible international recognition.
In 2013, joined by an American drummer/singer Mark Murdock who has experiences in collaborating with established musicians such as Peter Banks, Percy Jones, John Goodsall, Kenwood Dennard, David Sancious & more.
Now We Are "MASHEEN MESSIAH"
First of all, we have changed our band name to "MASHEEN MESSIAH" as of today, Aug 1st, 2016. Actually pronunciation-wise it has no difference but multiple benefits are expected from this change of the spelling.
It might look a little strange for those who have known us as "MACHINE MESSIAH" for a long time but we have decided to make this new step and your continuous support will be really appreciated
