I think her greatest albums are (in chronological order): 'Joan Baez in Concert' (1962), 'Blessed Are...' (1971), 'Gulf Winds' (1976), 'Recently' (1987), 'Dark Chords On a Big Guitar' (2003) and 'Whistle Down the Wind' (2018). Listening to these would give a pretty accurate idea of she's evolved through the years, I think.
