Offered is the promotional letter sent to fans by Colonel Parker announcing Special Palm Sunday Programming, a radio special that would feature songs from Elvis' album How Great Thou Art for the Easter holiday. The letter states that "On Sunday, March 19th, hundreds of radio stations across the country" would be highlighting this special program. The letter continues to appeal to fans by mentioning that "beautiful postcard size color photos of Elvis with his own personal Easter greetings will be distributed through record dealers and outlets." In keeping with the spring theme, the Colonel goes on to promote the movie Easy Come, Easy Go and its accompanying soundtrack, as well as Clambake, calling the film "one of Elvis' most unique and best ever" and urging fans to buy the Elvis Stereo 8 catalogue at RCA Victor record dealers. The Colonel closes the letter with "Warm Easter greetings." The letter is accompanied by the original mailing envelope which is addressed to "Sharon Fox 5742 Giddings St. Chicago, Ill. 60630" and postmarked March 13, 1967 with a 4-cent stamp. The envelope bears the Thomas A. Parker Exclusive Management logo on the front. The stamp on the back of the envelope reads: "Hear Elvis sing…….. "How Great Thou Art" and other selections from his NEW RCA VICTOR SACRED ALBUM on SUNDAY MARCH 19, 1967 RADIO STATIONS EVERYWHERE Observing the EASTER SEASON ELVIS' "HOW GREAT THOU ART" NOW! AT YOUR RECORD DEALER." The Colonel did not miss an opportunity to keep the fans informed while keeping Elvis in the forefront of their minds, especially at the holidays. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated. The letter measures approximately 11 by 8 1/2 inches (27.94 x 21.59 cm). The envelope measures approximately 4 by 9 1/2 inches (10.16 x 24.13 cm).
