Rapidly-ascendant duo Mind Against boast releases on Life & Death, Cocoon, and Kompakt in just four years since the project's birth. Their "Atlant" EP (2013) was supported by Tale of Us, Kate Simko, DJ Tennis, and many more. Italian-born, these brothers now reside in Berlin, and draw influence from a wide array of electronic sounds despite having their feet planted firmly in house and techno. DJ Lisa Frank plays an extended early set.

MIND AGAINST:

Mind Against is a Berlin-based electronic music duo consisting of Alessandro and Federico Fognini. The project was born in 2011 and in 2012 they recorded and released their first record "Cagliostro" on breakthrough label Life and Death.In 2012 the duo have also composed remixes for WhoMadeWho, Róisín Murphy and PillowTalk, some of which in collaboration with label-mates Tale Of Us, on labels such as Kompakt, Cocoon and aforementioned Life and Death .

While heavily influenced from IDM and with clear roots in techno and house, in most of cases their sound can not be easily related to an established genre. Their performances in fact vary across all the spectra of electronic music, from groovy house beats and deep bass-lines to more indie and experimentals soundscapes.Mind Against's debut EP "Atlant" will be released on 22 July 2013 via Life and Death as 12" vinyl and digital download.
