I think people were hoping the first single from The Avalanches in 15 years would've been more akin to Frontier Psychiatrist, and were reactionary when it was a "standard" track with less aggressive/obscure samples, which completely overlooks the fact that they got MF DOOM and Danny Brown trading verses over an incredibly fun beat. Song's great.

We Will Always Love you is incredible. I've seen a few people slamming their move away from plunderphonics and into more soulful / melodic territory. I suggest those people try to look past what they've done historically and listen to this as a standalone release. It's banging.

Maybe the best album I've ever heard, tbh. It's still got hundreds of samples so idk why people need to have another SILY specifically, which is impossible. People can listen to the first two albums if they feel so strongly about it. How much can you really expect from two people instead of six at this point?
