There was no way for me to miss this concert that was intended to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Dog, Man, Star, possibly my favourite album by Suede, and certainly the one that contains my favourite song by them, that is The Asphalt World. I had been longing to see this live for ages, with all its powerful emotional charge affecting everyone, especially the singer.
And I certainly wasn't disappointed this time: an unusually long set (at least for Suede) delivered with the usual stamina by the king of performers, Brett Anderson. A memorable concert, for sure, with some remarkable moments:
Anderson dedicating Still Life to his deceased father who used to take him to RAH as a kid
and the audience singing The Living Dead,
among others, were the most touching.
