Catherine Slater (born September 17, 1996), known professionally as Slayyyter, is an American pop singer and songwriter, currently based in St. Louis. She started her career independently through SoundCloud. She was originally named Slater, before renaming herself to Slayyyter. Her single release "Mine" reached #38 on the iTunes pop chart.
Her music style has been likened to Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton, as well as sounding somewhat "like Charli XCX on whippets". Her first 2018 release, "BFF", featured Ayesha Erotica, a producer and frequent collaborator from Las Vegas who has worked previously with people such as Joanne Prada. She has also worked with Boy Sim, being a featured artist on the song "Faded" from his debut album.
Slayyyter cites Timbaland, Nelly Furtado, Lady Gaga, and Justin Timberlake as some of the artists she listened to the most growing up and who ultimately influenced her musical style.
Slayyyter's visual style has been defined as "distinct MySpace-era". She frequently collaborates with British-based artist Glitchmood for single artworks, who has also worked with Cupcakke.
