Okay, I have some news: First - Orochi won ramen contest so they'll come to Europe. Shows in Belgium, France, Switzerland and Ukraine are already confirmed, more coming soon. Second - Shin officially join the band. And third - Yukimura will depart after their one-man live at Takadanobaba AREA at 2013/01/17.
I was under the impression that they started out in Queensland, Australia,
at the very least, they did a fair few shows around Australia, I was introduced to them in a small pub in the outskirts of Melbourne...
Hello everyone! A few days ago we created a Street Team Orochi. Considering that Genji and Mitsuhide leaving the band, we will organise special action for them. Details here -> lastfm.pl/group/OROCHI+Street+Team please support!
I haven't seen OROCHI live since Mitsuhide joined (because I moved away), but I've been watching videos of their lives on Youtube and while some performances are better than others, that goes for any band. I can only hope they tour in the US soon, I'd really like to go see them again.
@cyberHeart: maybe the live in Ukraine wasn't as good as Polish lives then? I can definitely say they're the best band I've seen. I didn't know their music well when I came to the Warsaw live (I just came, because I live in Warsaw), but it was so good that I had to see them again in Wrocław and that live was even better. The vocalist has a really good voice live, it sounds much better than on the recordings. He can sing low and high really well, his screams are awesome. The band also entertained the audience well, while they still stuck to their main theme and focused on playing music. They also have lots of energy on stage and pay attention to people's reaction, I could see the audience is important to them :) (some bands don't pay attention to people that much, they just play... and that's it...). Oh, and their lives were really long, like... 2h each one? I like it too :)
