Do My Thang is the eleventh track from Miley Cyrus's 4th studio album Bangerz. It is a hip hop and EDM song, the track is notable for being one of the most lyrically explicit tracks on the album. Do My Thang is predominantly a mixture of hip hop music and EDM (Electronic Dance Music). It follows the standard pop-influenced EDM sound, with escalations, roaring synths, and inaudible vocal remarks, during the bridge before the verses, the song breaks down into a hip hop and trap influenced sound, with a buzzing sound, off-rhythm 808 trap snares, sub-bass and tin claps. The respective genres eventually converge, as Cyrus raps along. The second verse sees Cyrus rapping very explicit lyrics, as she addresses her worriers. The song reaches it's height before falling down with a trap-influenced downfall, where we hear Cyrus moan, and the song becomes a minimal hip hop song, ending it with nothing but a thick bass, occasional tin claps and a roaring siren at the end.
