Mali-koa Hood (born May 19, 1991) is an Australian singer-songwriter. She is also a prominent fashion blogger and stylist. Raised in a multi-cultural family, Hood had been interested in music and fashion since she was a child. She began her journey as a singer in the local church choir and eventually made her way to the first season of ‘The Voice Australia.’ While she was eventually eliminated from the show, it garnered her enough exposure that she could pursue music professionally. She was affiliated with a Sydney-based record label Surveillance Party for a while. In 2013, she collaborated with Neo Pitso in his song ‘Outlier’ and has since become one of the most promising artists in her native country and the UK, where she later relocated. Hood and Griffiths have been friends for a long time and in 2014, decided to form a DJ group together, naming it Double Trouble. Hood is a prominent social media personality, with 544 thousand and 274 thousand followers on Instagram and Twitter respectively. Besides posting her music, she also uses her YouTube channel for vlogging and offering fashion tips.
