    Polaris

i'll say it straight and plain- i know i've made mistakes. i've always been afraid. i've always been afraid. a thousand nights or more i traveled east and north. please answer the door. can you tell me-

"you say that love goes anywhere. in your darkest time, it's just enough to know it's there. when you go i'll let you be. but you're killing everything in me."

get down on your knees. whisper what I need... something pretty, something pretty. i feel that when I'm old, i'll look at you and know the world was beautiful. then you tell me-

"you say that love goes anywhere. in your darkest time, it's just enough to know it's there. when you go i'll let you be. but you're killing everything in me."

i'm done. there's nothing left to show. try, but i can't let go. are you happy where you're standing still? do you really want the sugar pill? i'll wake up tomorrow and i'll start to another. it feels so hard. as a train approaches, getting on as i'm sure your kiss remains employed. am i only dreaming?
  • Listening Through All of My Albums: #241 - Futures (Jimmy Eat World)

    Out 16 2008, 20h07 por andyfest

    Futures by Jimmy Eat World

Futures starts out pretty strong, the first four songs are at least close to being on par with the songs from Bleed American. After that, though, the song quality really takes a dip (save for Polaris, the best song on the album). The songs get cheesy and dramatic with themes of Junior High love, drug addiction, etc. Overall, probably the worst JEW album yet (though I've not heard the latest one).
  • 50 Questions About My Top 50 Artists

    Mai 6 2008, 17h40 por ohohinertia

    Procrastination is key.

    1. How did you get into 29?
    Cobra Starship
    (I don't have a 29 so I'm using my second 28).
I found the music video for Snakes On A Plane (Bring It) on ONTD before the movie came out and I thought it was catchy. And I liked Midtown too.

    2. What was the first song you ever heard by 22?
    Savage Garden
I Want You, which is probably the first song everyone heard by them.

    3. What’s your favorite lyric by 33?
    Vast
I don't have favorite lyrics from them, actually.

    4. What is your favorite album by 49?
    Matchbook Romance
    (Third 47). Stories and Alibis

    5. How many albums by 13 do you own?
    Motion City Soundtrack
    Three.

    6. What is your favorite song by 50?
    Rock Kills Kid
    Don't Want To Stay

    7. Is there a song by 39 that makes you sad?
    Imogen Heap
All of them sound kind of sad.

    8. What is your favorite album by 15?
    Arcade Fire
    (Second 14)
    Neon Bible

    9. What is your favorite song by 5?
    Kasabian
    L.S.F. (Lost Souls Forever)

    10. Is there a song by 6 that makes you happy?
  • If I wanted to hear three songs from my favourite artists, they would be:

    Abr 23 2008, 0h38 por philbuckler

    1. Jimmy Eat World
Love the new album. Think I may have overplayed it a bit though... I'd want to hear Chase This Light, My Sundown and Polaris

    2. Muse
Only really got into Muse recently. Kinda like a fine wine. It took a while for me to like. Now I can't get enough! I'd want to hear Knight Of Cydonia, Stockholm Syndrome and Supermassive Black Hole

    3. Anberlin
I need some new stuff from these guys. Really didn't like their latest B-Sides release. Completely turned me off their stuff. The tracks that still keep me listening are Paperthin Hymn, The Feel Good Drag and Never Take Friendship Personal

    4. Incubus
These guys always have something different. Love 'em! I'd be happy if I heard Anna Molly, Nice To Know You and Make Yourself

    5. Damien Rice
Hadn't really heard of him until last.fm. Really cool stuff... i like the intensity in his voice... I wanna hear 9 Crimes. That is all.

    6. 30 Seconds to Mars
Huge fan of Jared Leto's voice. Mad tone. Mad screams. So jealous. …
  • My music is me.... jednostavno receno

Uvijek slusam ono sto volim. To mi ne moze promjeniti nikakva situacija i nevazno kolko sam sretan cu slusati Polaris jer tu pjesmu volim makar je tuzan. Nevazno kolko sam tuzan cu slusati You and Me makar je ta pjesma vesela. Ako neku pjesmu volim, nikakvi vanjski osjecaji mi to ne mogu promjeniti. Polaris volim, i smatram je jednom od najljepsih pjesama, i slusam je neovisno o situaciji. Nevzano dal sam veseo ili tuzan, dal sam sretan ili u bedu... …

  • just the way i'm feeling....

    Ago 20 2007, 8h43 por punkr0kprincess

..sometimes i just like to turn to quotes from songs to express the way i'm feeling. and note that it is the line, and NOT the entire song that describes the feeling.

Tonight the headphones will deliver you the words I can't say.
I think we're going somewhere, we're onto something good here.
I always catch the clock- it's 11:11, and now you want to talk.
i'll say it straight and plain- i know i've made mistakes. i've always been afraid.
you're already the voice inside my head. i miss you.
if you fall back into my life, i promise you i would never let another day just pass us by..i wanna be your only one.
i'm waiting. i'll tell you once more. that as long as you're gone, then i'll stay.
i told you everything, opened up and let you in. you made me feel all right for once in my life.
i started sending you a note, and i hope that you're happy. i hear you're somewhere in the sand, i wish i was an ocean..then i'd get to see you again.
  • NM - Seven (Jimmy Eat World, dredg, Boys Night Out, Red Hot Chili Peppers)

    Abr 8 2007, 23h14 por ScarletStarlett

    Originally I had picked

    Jimmy Eat World
    dredg
    Boys Night Out

but then I added "old school RHCP" to the mix just because I recently got their What Hits!? album as a gift and decided to explore their older, funkier side (I know, I'm a bad fan - it took me this long to finally get to it).

Anyway, I think this was kind of a bad mix of artists, because I had no desire to listen to the playlist I created of these artists at all these past two weeks, and really had to force myself to do it, which has never happened before. I kind of wanted to attribute this to the general "depressing" nature of these bands, but then I realized that that doesn't even really make sense. So I don't know what it was, but this was a tough week.

Jimmy Eat World - I don't think there's too many people who DON'T know Sweetness and The Middle, and yes, these two songs were also my intro to this band. I never bothered to research anything else by them…
