Boomerang, especially the music video, is inspired by Instagram’s video feature that allows someone to take a short video and then replays it in repeat.
The song itself is about a relationship where they are fighting but they still love each other and he wants it to go back to how it was in the beginning, much like how a boomerang returns to it’s thrower.
