Chic with Slash - Le Freak
The sheer amount of talent on this stage is overwhelming. This is one of the last performances that Bernard Edwards (bass) ever played in 1996--RIP. Slash is one lucky man to be next to and even fondled by Jill Jones--she is a goddess. Also Omar Hakim on drums and Gerardo Velez on percussion (played with Hendrix at Woodstock).

Out 24 2006, 14h43 por dermatzemannI've always been a big fan of song covers that not only re-perform the original, but to some degree change the atmosphere or even transfer the song to a completely different genre. Blue Monday, Feeling Good, Mad World, Sweet Dreams or My Way would be good examples.
Last.fm has turned out to be a great source of cover versions I hadn't heard yet and don't have in my MP3 collection. Some were horrible or boring, but some were really cool, so I finally started to make good use of the tagging system and created a personal station with covers I like: awesome covers. The matching originals (or at least those that are currently streamable on last.fm) are in originals of awesome covers.
The actual point I'm writing all this is that I wanted to play around with combining those two in one station without having to type the URL manually (at least there is no other way of doing that as far as I know). So here is the mix-up of both: awesome covers and their originals. Unfortunately this does not always seem to work. …
