Yeah I don't know either about RB2 and the SD cards. I believe exporting all of the RB1 songs (around 50-55 tracks) took up ~1 GB of HD space on the 360. You are able to delete specific songs to save space. I don't hav emuch of anything eating space though.

Ran out of space. I haven't tried the "no fail mode" yet. I may have to at some point. My wife isn't very good at the game so I sometimes have to save her and/or repeat songs. I think the no fail mode would be great for parties with people who have no video game experience.

I have GH 1-3 on the PS2, but haven't played WT. Some of the songs overlap with RB2 which is kinda funny ([url=http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/12/rock-band-2-guitar-hero-world-tour-share-16-songs/]here's a list[/url]). I don't know if I would say the standard song set is more hip, but RB2 has a large # of songs available for download that allows you to pick what you want. It doesn't have anything too unknown but does have some Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Muse, Hot Hot Heat, all of the Pixies' Doolittle album, and more. A friend of mine has downloaded a ton of tunage. We played nice sets of NIN and the Who. I'm still waiting to download songs until finish RB2 completely. I have imported all of RB1 songs into RB2 which turned out well. I was able to rent the game & import the songs for $5. The whole "Ten" album is supposed to be coming out--I'm excited for that.

Going to a house party as well - should be fun! As for yours, well the more people who drop out, the more opportunity you get to hog the Wii. ;-)

Thanks! How do you like Boom Blox? My holiday(s) have been good so far. I'm scared to see the end coming up so soon. I managed to play Mario Kart for the Wii for about 2 minutes at a Best Buy. It was fun. I would have kept playing but a couple of small kids came up and I felt bad for not letting them play, lol.

Just Mirror's Edge - and yes it is beautiful - at the moment, though we've been downloading lots of free demos and playing those too. :-) Am I 'planning' a Best Of, you ask? Brad, your observation skills have been destroyed by Christmas!!! ;P

We had a quick family visit and then back here for Christmas - nice and quiet, just the two of us, it was perfect! Though I never want to see another piece of turkey as long as I live. :) There's been lots of PS3 fun around here too - it's all good really! Are you back at work now?

Woah, I just watched some footage of Flower on YouTube. Gentlest. Game. Ever! Okami DOES have some fighting in it, but it's not of the challenging sort. More like watching animals dance. :-) And definitely more suited to bedtime than busting your way through the rampaging hordes in RE4 or making heart-stopping rooftop leaps while a chopper shoots at you, in Mirror's Edge. Have you got your iPhone already? Now THAT I'm jealous of.

Okami's very sweet, I suspect it's a love-it-or-hate-it, because it's quite so gentle and twee. Put it this way, it was quite a contrast going from shooting the mutated heads off of hordes of not-zombies to, er, helping trees to blossom and feeding sparrows with little bags of seed. :D

Hey Brad, all ready for Christmas? It's arrived early round at my place, we've split the cost of a PS3 as our present to each other. And dived straight into MIRROR'S EDGE, which is brilliant. While at the same time (geek alert!) I've set up the old PS2 on the other side of the room and am starting to work my way through Okami. Happy days!

Well, I can definitely recommend the iPhone, in so far as I love it more than life itself (er… that's not healthy, is it?). There's some pesky things you can't do on it, but they're outweighed by the general convenience of having most of The Internets in your pocket all the time. I also got addicted to watching Battlestar Galactica on it during the daily train ride to work. There's a Last.FM app for it, which is pretty good. It can't do live-scrobbling of tunes from the iPod app, but it does scrobble your Last.FM radio tunes as they play.

Hi Brad – good to hear from you! Since I got my iPhone, I've switched from using the iScrobbler plug-in, to using the 'proper' Last.FM app to scrobble my iTunes stuff, and it also seems to do a decent enough job of scrobbling the tunes I've played on my iPhone after I've synced it with my Mac. iScrobbler seemed a bit hit-and-miss with the iPhone, but that was a while ago so maybe they've updated it. I should check it out again, maybe.

Any festive grotto action when you got home?

I got it about 2 years ago. I originally wanted a Wii at the time but the Wii was nigh-impossible to find since that was right after the launch. So I got the 360 instead. Unfortunately I haven't had much time to play it. I have played and owned off and on a few games. GTA 4 (which I have yet to finish), Halo 3, Gears of War, Dead Rising (I don't have a HD TV so it was hard as hell to read the text in that game, lol), and a couple others. I'm thinking about picking up Rock Band 2. My sister's boyfriend has the first one and I loved the drums on it. I've read the drums on the new Guitar Hero are even sweeter, but I don't think they have downloadable tracks like on RB2. Which is a bummer b/c I liked the guitar better on GH than RB. Are you looking at getting particular games for the holiday?

You need an xbox live subscription to play online. Not sure if you need it to download demos, etc... The last time I subscribed to xbox live was on the original xbox about 5 years ago. I may look at subscribing next year. It all depends on if there's a game I want to play online. I fear I would have my butt handed to me by a seven year old if I tried Gears of War or Halo online, lol. If I end up picking up Rock Band 2 or GH WT I may look at the live subscription. Yeah, I was just curious how well the Wii online service ran.

Are you online with COD? How is the online deal with the Wii? I hate to say it, but I have yet to go online with my 360.

Oh, happy Thanksgiving!! No, there's no British equivalent as I'm sure you're aware, you tease, and I'm hard at work. Heh, actually I don't have a project coming in till Friday so I've been on the internet all day. :) No island for me yet, that giant statue is as far as I've got, but I suspect I'll be playing this evening so we'll see. YES! I did get the free rocket launcher, and it came in very handy against the scary guy that you can freeze. And I had lots of pesetas so I bought me another one, which I'm saving for a special occasion. Although I'm a bit short of ammo generally so I might end up having to go back a few saves and use it against one of the gigante twins - that room used a lot of bullets up, even with the handy lava pit. Have you got the new Killers by the way? I just listened today, it's ridiculously over the top and rather good...

Oops, I thought I'd left you a shout last night but clearly not! I definitely started typing it. Ah well! Just wanted to let you know how right you are about the castle; I've been having great fun sniping at catapulters and getting creeped out by the chuckling priesthood. And after several tries I defeated the big fella who gets distracted by ringing bells.
