I've not given them nearly enough attention since their early days, but I knew they'd gone a lot more experimental since their debut (which I love). Still, I was not expecting this album to be this great. It's a fucking weirdo industrial-tinged barnstormer.
The second half of the new record (everything after 'Something Awful' except 'Maureen') is challenging, but it's easily their best. 'We Could Be Blood' could become something of a modern classic if it gets out to enough people.
i'm really suprised that there's quite a few comments hating on them! i've got the first album which i thought was magic, and just listened to the latest one and i'm loving it, it's different but just such feel good tunes on it!
Do I really have to re-play all my scrobbled 'The Young Knives' tracks retagged? I prefer the 'The', like everyone else. It's almost like... almost like... the band didn't consider the last.fm ramifications of their name change. How inconsiderate!
