Not bad overall, I really liked a few songs. But still can't compare to previous works which are much much much better imho.

the sound production is the problem, IMO. Just weirdly dry, tinny and lacking in depth/texture like most of their albums

An opinion is an opinion... but I have to strongly disagree with you. I come from Germany and accordingly have many Rammstein fans in my circle of acquaintances, the general canon is that Rosenrot and Liebe ist für alle da are the worst Rammstein albums. The press has also judged both albums rather negatively. And it is very difficult for me to seriously put the Rammstein album on the same level as Rosenrot. Neither from a creative nor a musical point of view does Rosenrot come close. But as I said, an opinion is an opinion. There are people who think Load or St. Anger are the best Metallica albums or No prayer for the dying is the best Maiden album.

Truly surprised to see "Weit Weg" as the second least listened to track of the eleven. This is perhaps one of, if not the best performances, both lyrically and instrumentally, by the group ever. I encourage everyone to give it a more thorough listen. It took some time to grow on me, but it ultimately proved itself as quite a beautiful and thoughtful melody with many avenues for interpretation.

Disagree. Only flaw with this album is, that it is supposed to have no name but almost everyone just refers to it as Rammstein. Who the hell thinks its a good idea to release a album without a name? I just wait for the next Rammstein album to actually be called Rammstein...

I dont have anything against self-titled albums. The problem is, that this album is in fact NOT selftitled. The official title is "Untitled/Without Name". It just has no title at all. Only the internet/community called it Rammstein theirself so the band doesn't even support this name. And that is the actual problem. Who releases albums without titles?

From what I know from Wikipedia, the CD-text actually calls it "Rammstein". It's untitled for marketing purposes, but self-titled for data-collecting purposes, I guess. It's also called "Rammstein" on official download platforms like qobuz. So yeah, should they ever release an officially self-titled album, last.fm will be a mess. There already are various demo tapes that are technically self-titled (or untitled), which I and many others have to call "x-track demo" etc. so they're scrobbled individually. I guess it comes down to last.fm to finally fix their catalogue system for multiple releases with the same name, but we all know that won't ever happen lol

The album is not called Rammstein, it has no name. Here is the proof from the official site: "Das insgesamt 7. Album der Band ist unbetitelt und enthält wie alle RAMMSTEIN Alben 11 Songs, die in den "Studios La Fabrique" in der Abgeschiedenheit der französischen Provence nahe Avignon aufgenommen wurden." Just the seventh album.

We know. It's still been released in numerous places AS "Rammstein", and to avoid confusion whether its "Untitled" or "Unbetitelt" in german, I think Rammstein is a fitting name.

Jetzt wartet man 10 Jahre auf dieses Album und bekommt dies: Eine Mischung aus aneckend, provokant und soft. Klasse! Einzigste Enttäuschung: "Was ich liebe". Das ist schon in seiner Urform so alt, da hat man wohl noch mit Gewalt ein Lied für die Platte gebraucht... Als eine Beta von Pussy kennen es einige bestimmt noch. Der Text ist zu knapp 50% der Gleiche. Der Kontext ist 100% deckungsgleich.... Schnipsel-Vergleich: 2008/2009 (Demo): Dass ich froh bin, darf nicht sein Wer mich liebt, geht dabei ein Was ich liebe, muss sterben Was ich liebe, wird verderben 2019: Dass ich froh bin, darf nicht sein Wer mich liebt, geht dabei ein Was ich liebe Das wird verderben Was ich liebe Das muss auch sterben, oh sterben Um nur ein kleines Beispiel zu liefern.
