What an album this is! And I FINALLY have this as a physical copy, at a reasonable price! A feat rarely achieved these days! :) From an easygoing and happy Del Rio's Song to the crushing, haunting, super epic The Siege and Investiture of Baron von Frankenstein's Castle at Weisseria, this album has got to have some of the best compositions and feelings there have ever been, even though I don't understand a thing about its supposed concept... :D

This is still my favourite BOC album, although I like to rearrange the tracks in the order of the story! I love the production and sheer epicness of the songs, Magna of Illusion being the best. Shame this hasn't been uploaded as the full album. Slightly disappointed with this recording as the Astronomy track is the 70s version and defo not from this album recording.

I would not call it the best album in the world, but it's a damn fine one. I could not believe it was BOC when I first heard this. The production is massive and fuller than any BOC album ever was. Perhaps the reason is that Buck Dharma was hardly involved in this; it was an Albert Bouchard solo effort mostly. The heavy Astronomy version here kicks a**.
