Roaming Bear is the solo project of artist Conor Jerome Girard. It combines psychedelic, and sometimes rowdy, folk and indie tunes with heart felt lyrics inspired mostly, but not exclusively, by his travels. Bear was born and raised in Waukegan, Thrillinois. He left home on his first tour in 2008 at age 18 with his band "Jerome in the Sky", and though the band returned to IL, Bear has continued roaming and playing music ever since. His songs take influence from a wide variety of genres, and it shows in the diversity of his sets, from chilled out songs that sound like they're straight out of the opium den like "lion Cubs" to more up beat numbers like "Self Destructive" to the folk punk pieces like "Common Ground" all the way to more jam oriented songs like "Chicken". Bear is constantly writing and recording new live and lo-fi songs, so keep your eyes and ears peeled for more new music!
