JPFM Band n'est pas issu des rives boueuses du Mississipi, pas plus que d'un studio de San Francisco. C'est sur le sol parisien qu'est née en 1996 cette collaboration entre José Tagus qu’on a pu voir notamment aux côtés de Manu Dibango, et Jean-Pierre Venard, un pur autodidacte. La formation décrit son style comme de l'acid blues, un blues corrompu par les parfums funk, électro, trip-hop et lounge. Un dialogue original entre musiciens et samples, perpétrés par DJ Ewone célèbre pour ces soirées Real Flava organisées à Paris et Londres. ce style "smooth'n cool" est à consommer tranquillement, verre de whisky à la main feu de bois à portée des pieds…

JPFM Band does not arise from muddy banks of Mississipi, nor from a studio of San Francisco. It is on the Parisian ground that was born in 1996 this collaboration between José Tagus that we were able to see notably beside Manu Dibango, and Jean-Pierre Venard, a pure self-taught. The group describes its style as a mixture of acid blues, with some flavours of funk, électro, trip - hop and lounge. An original dialogue between musicians and samples, committed by famous DJ Ewone for these evenings Real Flava organized in Paris and London.
