"MONA LISA" is j-hope's follow-up to "Sweet Dreams", which came out two weeks before this song. It was released on March, 21, 2025 by Big Hit Music.

He compares his love interest to Leonardo DaVinci’s world-famous painting, the Mona Lisa, in this hip-hop and R&B track, referring to her as a masterpiece, his own Mona Lisa.

j-hope first hinted at the song by sharing the portrait of Mona Lisa on his Instagram story. The painting was also featured in the music video for "Sweet Dreams".

j-hope debuted the sultry number live at the opening show of the North American leg of his world tour 'HOPE ON THE STAGE' in front of a sold out crowd at Barclays Center in New York City, USA, on 13th March 2025.

It debuts at #12 on Spotify Global with 3,890,995 filtered streams, being hobi's biggest debut on the platform.

MONA LISA was written by Blake Slatkin, j-hope, Magnus August Høiberg, Marcus Lomax, Nija Aisha-Alayja Charles, Pdogg & Zain Siddiqui; and co-produced by Blake Slatkin, Cashmere Cat & MISOGI.
