Formed by young graduates of the Superior School of Music of the INBA in the National Center of the Arts and the National School of Music of the UNAM.
The members of The Sconek-T have received training from leading masters of cello, violin and percussion, as well as famed string quartets such as The Turtle Island String Quartet, St Petersburg Quartet, Emerson String Quartet, Casals, Ying, Fine Arts Quartet, Amazon , Corigliano, Latin American, Paul Pestka and the ACJW Assembly of Carnegie Hall of New York. The Association has been awarded various programs of encouragement for art among which are: the call for artistic projects of the Mexican Institute of Youth and the MEXICO EN ESCENA grant awarded by CENART under the Support for Professionalizing Graduates in the Performing Arts.
In 2008, they released their first independent album "Acoustic Project", including music by Café Tacvba, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, La Maldita Vecindad and several more acoustic versions and in 2009 The Sconek-T obtained the MEXICO SCENE scholarship CENART through FONCA, with which they recorded the album "Corriente Alterna" (available on iTunes) at 5A Studios in London.
The Sconek-T has been featured in the Soundtrack series of the National Cineteca with the original music "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" from 1923, which was declared by the Cineteca to be the most successful in 2011. They have also performed in National Theater Auditorium, City Theater, Vive Latino Festival (2010 and 2012), in various forums of the National Arts Center, the reopening of the Palace of Fine Arts, national cultural festivals in different states of the Mexican Republic, as well as in the main radio and television stations of the country. Within the national rock scene they have collaborated with bands such as San Pascualito Rey, Liber Terán, José Musicians, Rubén Albarrán, (vocalist from Café Tacvba) and guitarist Alex Otaola. Join the silent film "Berlin Symphony of a City" at the inauguration of the Goethe Institute's German film series. They also performed the music of Pascual Reyes on the soundtrack of the movie "Colosio" and made part of the soundtrack of "Suave Patria" and "Las Aparicio".
They have represented Mexico in important international forums such as the International Theater Festival of Sibiu in Transylvania, Romania in June 2012, as well as the Latin American cultural forum La Cueva in Berlin, Germany and in this same year, the group's American debut within the LAMC (Latin Alternative Music Conference) in the opening concert of the Summerstage in Central Park of New York.
