Some years ago I recall a documentary on youtube of Zazen Boys recording their first album in a studio, I belive the doc also had some live clips, solo Mukai acoustic clips, and a clip from the U-S-O-D-A-R-A-K-E video. Does anyone have this dvd?

Boom Boom Satellites drummer was quite a doll and had me swooning; too bad she isn't a full member. I've always loved Puffy and was happy they played my favorite song during the encore. Missed most of Echostream. But yeah; our 'Boys stole the show (in terms of awe-inspiring skill and true showmanship.) Easily. With or without the bias of being a huge fan. Class act. People that never heard them before even seemed charmed and astonished. I just wish they could have squeezed in some Weekend or K-I-M-O-C-H-I, both are a bit more appealing-to-mainstream (which is the kinda' crowd they were dealing with after all.) [/end fandom]
Just came back from the FETES live. A bit of a disappointment overall, but Zazen Boys pretty much kicked everyone's ass. Boom Boom Satellites totally could not be on par with them. Sure, they were louder, but in the end they knew people weren't over how tight Zazen Boys were.
I know some people probably won't like this, but personally I think Yoshida fits the band a lot better than that wanker Hinata. Hinata sounds way tighter in Nothing's Carved In Stone anyway. Also, a new US tour is meaningless if they don't come to Atlanta.
Good to know they're coming back, especially playing near Union Square. Hopefully that location will bring in some new listeners. Not too crazy that Puffy is supporting, and I haven't listened to Boom Boom Satellites, but it should be an interesting night and it's good they're getting some kind of exposure with the other two acts. And yeah, hopefully they'll book more shows.
They're back in NYC this October for some "check it out, we're from Japan" fest with other acts I'm not interested in. Hopefully they'll book a couple headlining side shows for the days around it. Re.TanPip: Ichiro Yoshida
Does anyone know if Last.fm has an artist page for Mukai's new band, KIMONOS? I saw a story about it on JpopLover (http://jpoplovernet.blogspot.com/2010/08/kimonos.html), but didn't see anything on here. The band's website is http://www.kimonosmusic.com/
