Biography
Not Secured, Loose Ends, formerly known as Yukueshirezutsurezure (ゆくえしれずつれづれ), is a Japanese idol group that formed in November 2015. The current members are Mei Yui Mei (メイユイメイ), Higaminari Yuchiomi (秘我未也ゆちおみ), Yuzuriha Ouhi (楪おうひ) and Kisaragi Megumi (如月愛海). The group is known for its "Exhaustion-Passion" concept, which delves into paradoxical themes such as emptiness and satisfaction, light and dark, and depression and happiness. Their sound combines pop melodies with death rock rhythms, creating a distinctive blend of genres.
Initially called Yukueshirezutsurezure (ゆくえしれずつれづれ), the group was rebranded in September 2023 under the name Not Secured, Loose Ends, reflecting their focus on the idea of walking through life without secured paths, often at loose ends. This new phase represents a shift in both the musical direction and international ambitions of the group, with an emphasis on performing overseas and incorporating English lyrics into their music.
In September 2023, alongside the reboot of Not Secured, Loose Ends, another notable project emerged within the Japanese alternative music scene: TOKYO TEFUTEFU (TOKYOてふてふ), a group associated with the same label.
Following their reformation as Not Secured, Loose Ends, the group planned to release an album featuring re-recorded songs from their previous incarnation, with lyrics translated into English by syva. Their first solo concert under the new name was in November 25, 2023, at Shibuya Eggman. Their first album since reforming, titled OUROARBOROS, was released on Janary 10, 2024.
