'Qayin' is the Hebrew form of 'Cain', from the story of Cain and Abel. Cain was the first child of Eve. According to Genesis 4:1–16, Cain treacherously murdered his brother Abel, lied about the murder to God, and as a result was cursed and marked for life. This song acts as a celebration of Cain and his actions, praising him as the "Mighty path-opener" and "Bringer of the black light". The song's lyrics were written by Set Teitan.
