Cho Seungyoun (Hangul: 조승연; born on August 5, 1996, in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea), also known as WOODZ and Luizy (as a solo artist) is a South Korean rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer. He debuted as a member of the South Korean-Chinese group UNIQ on October 20th, 2014. He is also part of the project group M.O.L.A. Seungyoun participated in Produce X 101 in 2019 and ranked 5th in the final episode. He debuted as a member of X1 on august 27, 2019.
Seungyoun officially made his debut as a solo artist on July 29th, 2016 under the name Luizy with the single "Recipe" with Flowsik. He also released "Baby Ride" with Im Hyunsik (BTOB member) and "How Have You Been".
In 2018 Yuehua Entertainment informed that Seungyoun would now promote with the name "WOODZ" during his solo activities. He released the digital single "Pool" with Sumin on May 12, "DIFFERENT" was released on July 21st, and "Meaningless" on November 3rd. He released his very first mini-album "EQUAL" on June 29th, 2020 with title track "Love Me Harder" or "파랗게". In the same year, Seungyoun released his second mini-album "WOOPS!" on November 17th. WOOPS! contains 6 songs including "Bump Bump" as the title track and "Sweater", his first full English song.
Seungyoun lived in Brazil for 2 years to attend a football school after elementary school. He also attended an International School in the Philippines for one year. He then moved back to South Korea to become a singer. He was originally a YG Entertainment trainee for 1 and a half year, he joined the UNIQ debut team and continued to train under YG Entertainment. UNIQ was cooperatively trained by Yuehua and YG before their official debut.
