Biography

Videoclub was the musical project of the actress/youtuber Adèle Castillon and her boyfriend Matthieu Reynaud; both 17 years old and originally from the city of Nantes in France, they took their love relationship to another level and that's where the idea of making music together came from.

With a very retro feeling and a totally romantic atmosphere their project took off in September last year with their first song Amour Plastique, 3 months later they continued with Roi their second single, for the moment they only have these two songs. Adèle is quite well known in France as she is a very famous youtuber, which is why she was invited to participate in two films, making her a total youth icon; on the other hand, Matthieu is the son of jazz guitarist Régis Reynaud, which is key to Matthieu's taste in music.

They join the french pop music movement which has been fed by a new wave of new talents for a couple of years now. Their songs are quite cheerful, very digestible, loaded with a vintage vibe; with varied elements their electro pop pays homage to love, as their relationship is the main source of inspiration.

Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to Videoclub, the French duo that made us all believe in love. Formed by Adèle Castillon and her ex-partner Matthieu Reynaud, two teenagers who were in love and decided to go into music, but their relationship ended.

In an interview, they commented that the relationship was what inspired the band to make music, being in love was a fuel to work on their material, but if the relationship ends, so does the band. The band announced their retirement on 31 March 2021 via their Instagram account announcing the music video for their song "SMS".
