It's a rare feat when a singer receives a loving tribute album while he's still actively recording. Many of these new cover versions take an understandably reverent approach to the deeply romantic and justifiably iconic catalog of Mexican crooner Marco Antonio Solís, especially the smoldering-but-straightforward Juanes rendition of the already steamy cumbia "Más Que Tu Amigo." But the collection's strongest moments come when these Solís fans take eclectic liberties with his classics. Mon Laferte flips the operatic "Invéntame" into an intimate '60s pop ballad, while Los Tres and El David Aguilar rewrite the stately banda of "El Celoso" as a jaunty norteño anthem.
Different Latin American artists were invited to record an album, called "Todos Somos MAS", as a tribute to Marco Antonio Solís, a figure of Latin American melodic music.
The disc counts on the participation of David Bisbal, Juan Luis War, Juanes, Luis Fonsi, Mon Laferte, Paty Cantú, Morat, the black angels, Napoléon and Luciano Pereyra, among others.
On the other hand, they produce Emmanuel del Real "Meme", Café Tacvba and Yamil Rezc.
