Véronique Sanson (born 24 April 1949 in Boulogne-Billancourt, France) is a three-time Victoires de la Musique award-winning French singer-songwriter and record producer who has an avid following in her native country. During the 1970s, Sanson became one of the most successful and prominent members of the Seventies movement known as "Nouvelle chanson française" ("New French Chanson".) Sanson is still active today and she is considered one of the most successful and respected female artists in France, especially for the way she plays the piano, composes and writes her songs.
