Biography

Born in Texas in 1983, Tyler grew up the youngest of four sons in a hardworking, oil-field family. In search of adventure, he left for Australia at 18, two weeks out of high school, to pursue his love of music. Whilst studying at Hillsong International Leadership College in Sydney, he met the love of his life, Libby. She seduced him back to her hometown of Echuca, a small town in Country Victoria on the Murray River, where they were married on Tyler’s 21st birthday. After a brief year in Victoria, the newlyweds returned to Texas. After five years in the states and the birth of their boy Lyric, Tyler and Libby returned to Australia where Tyler’s love for music has grown into a profession. They once again reside in Echuca, and have added two girls to their family, Loxley, and Billie Jean. Tyler makes his living performing at public and private events around the area.

In 2013, Tyler was a Top 24 Artist on Season 5 of The X Factor Australia, where he was taken to NYC to sing for Dannii and Kylie Minogue.

In mid 2014 Tyler released his debut EP “Beautiful Life” which peaked at #4 on the iTunes singer/songwriter charts. This project contained Tyler’s first batch of original works, including “I Love Us” and “Behind Those Eyes”, a song he wrote for his autistic son Lyric, which has impacted many lives, particularly those in the special needs community. The success of his EP led to Tyler’s first trip to the Tamworth Country Music Festival where he was a Top 10 Finalist in the Toyota StarMaker competition in 2015.
