Starting out 2009 with just the two and solely venturing the possibilities of making noise, Twice The Same has made it to become a vast four-man funkrock-machine. All this packed with ‘extraordinary mature sound and compositions’ what bursts loose with a ‘incredible tight presentation, transferring with overwhelming energy’, as been said in several critic reports.
Twice The Same characterizes itself by the inventive and willful intertwining of a variety of styles and personal heros, naming the (old) Red Hot Chili Peppers, Primus, Rage Against The Machine and Bruce Dickinson. Their songs are loud, energetic and funky. The boys have spent dozens of hours in the studio and already have three EP’s listed on their name.
Twice The Same played at numerous festivals and venues across the country, naming Patronaat (Haarlem), Winston Kingdom (Amsterdam), Trouw Amsterdam and ‘t Paard van Troje (The Hague). Besides all this, the band has been flown into Gdansk, Poland, to play two shows, giving the boys time on the local radio and a renowned touch-and-go hold in the environs.
Twice The Same consists of boys with the age of twenty years or younger, but are nevertheless willing to maintain this road for long time with the very top as main goal.
‘Nothing retains us, and every step is a blessing.’
