TUNS is a Canadian supergroup (although the members dislike the term) featuring Sloan bassist/vocalist (and former CBC Radio 3 host) Chris Murphy, Matt Murphy from Super Friendz and Flashing Lights, and Mike O'Neill from Inbreds. The acronym TUNS is a nod to the former Technical University of Nova Scotia in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, where the young Murphys (who are not related) used to go for science fairs or to play basketball.
