Official Bio
"Royal Priesthood" is the debut album from Tiko and Gitta (Tee-co and Git-a), gospel reggae's premier duo. This project showcases some of the most creative and unique vocal deliveries ever recorded in the genre. Hailing from Trinidad & Tobago, Tiko and Gitta have been ministering and singing their sweet, contemporary blend of Reggae and Dancehall music together for years.

Born on the Caribbean Island of St.Vincent (and now residing in Trinidad), Lyndon (Tiko) Sterling delivers the vibrant dancehall flavor to the duo. At age nine Tiko gave his life to the Lord. By sixteen, he had begun his musical journey, chanting over dancehall beats for his schoolmates. Aptly dubbed the "Flow Master" by his friends, he can explode at the drop of a beat–spreading intricate rhyme patterns like wildfire. One of the quickest chatters heard in dancehall today, Tiko weaves lighthearted comedy and clever storytelling with his energetic, wild, and original flow to bring across very serious spiritual subjects.

Although many of the tracks on "Royal Priesthood" rightfully dwell in the dancehall arena, it's the culture of reggae that permeates the atmosphere when Gitta grabs the mic. With a solid vocal tone similar to the likes of Sizzla and Yami Bolo, Gitta (born Denton Peschier), is the soul of this team. While the second half of this pair may initially appear shy, behind a guitar his spirit soars–hence his name Guitar Dan ("Gitta" for short). Raised in Trinidad, his humble and gentle spirit ignites when, mic-in-hand, his signature vocals sail across the choruses, perfectly contrasting Tiko's fire spitting raps.

With a diverse sound encompassing roots reggae, dancehall, and a dash of hip hop, this versatile project is packed with seventeen songs and sure to suit various tastes. Royal Priesthood is a fun, yet thought provoking release by the most promising vocal team in gospel reggae. Tiko & Gitta are a dynamic twosome with lyrical fire power that pierces the soul, provokes thought, and draws the listener to the knowledge, awareness, peace, love, power, and majesty of Jesus Christ.
