The nostalgia element with this is interesting too... I mean I wasn't there with it at the time but I remember being 17 and blasting Losing a Whole Year after my first real break up way more than was healthy. I just relate to this thing, the songs are so tight and the performances are way more impressive than most people would think when they hear "Third Eye Blind". The lyrics on Narcolepsy are awesome as well. Just fantastic.
"Semi-Charmed Life is a song that everyone sings likes it’s a summer anthem for the beach when it’s actually a song about a sex and crystal meth addict" ... I agree but it's definitely not the first popular song about drugs. Hardly groundbreaking in that regard. Awesome song & great album though.
favorite album of all time.
beautiful from start to finish.
i wish they would have continued releasing music like this.
but when you think about it you can't really make something like this twice, it just wouldn't be right.
Semi-Charmed Life is a song that everyone sings likes it’s a summer anthem for the beach when it’s actually a song about a sex and crystal meth addict. Boom. Roasted. I always liked the radio songs....but this is my first time listening to the whole CD and I can't believe I didn't buy this album when it came out. Every song is pretty great....I had never heard the 2nd half of the disc before. Man, I missed out....but glad I finally got it. Awesome.
i've always loved this cd.... i remember i listened to it all the time after my boyfriend broke up to me and that was when i suddenly really got the meaning of all of the songs..........
oh, and i'm pretty sure they're all about drugs, too.
Buying it on cassette!? OMG, I've just bought it on CD :D
Used =/ Coudn't find it new on Brazil =P
But it's the same great sound anyway...
I just don't get tired of listening it over and over. It's just... awesome.
