this is the best velvets version i think, from the VU compilation, otherwise the best version is from Lou Reed's first solo album, hugely underrated thing it is.
I love moe's drums on this song, everytime i listen to it I notice something new
spotty teenage punk in a basement kitchen of a squatted house in hackney 1985.....this is one of the few tracks i can clearly remember where i was when i first heard it......boldly brilliantly bloody beautiful
the VU version is shit compared to the peel version which is one of the best songs ever.
Is it really Reed who sings on the peel version because it doesn't sound like him?According to wikipedia it's him but it be could be doug
