I have to say that I miss John Feldmann touch on the production but I have to agree that they need to change a bit. The last two albums have their good moments but are far from be considerated their best efforts. Hope to see the band working with Mike Sapone one day...
Hear The Canyon with a good headphone. The production details volume are so low that is easy to miss and make a bad judgement of the whole work.
Right now, my only complaint is about the music lenght. A lot of songs would be better if they were short and simple.
I like some songs from The Canyon, but man... Is it slow. Listening to the entire album in one sitting gets kind of boring.
Which is a hard thing for me to admit seeing as 2017 has been my year of The Used, I've been listening to them more than any other band, sad how this year ended with what might be the biggest disappointment.
He stated also that the term "freedom" has taken a sour turn, politically in the USA-- but am I wrong to assume what he is referring to is the dictatorship in Syria which is committing atrocities to squelch rebels?
Not really. The russians, polish and iraqi army have liberated Syria from squelch rebels (aka ISIS). He said it on the live album as an statement against Israel. I found it cringe because, as many westerners often do, it was pretty shallow.
went to their show yesterday at Newcastle. Catching up for the sake of the old times but just gotta say that Bert is no longer a beast like he used to be.. The guy doesnt scream anymore. like when they performed a box full of sharp objects, you can just tell they were lacking of intensity..sorry
