Man, I haven't been on in years -- but there used to be this song so long ago that last.fm played like crazy that I can't find and for some reason I associate it with the Thermals; currently combing their discography. It's the only song I have left playing in the nether-regions of my cerebellum that I can't find and I've been thinking of this song for forever and I can't for the life of me find it. I'll describe it: Starts off with three slow riffs: It's like a C, C# then back to C, the singer - couldn't say if it was m or f, 'anything goes...' NOW the chorus is like 'Fa Fa Fa Fa -- Fa-Fa-Fa-Fa-Faa-ahh' or maybe 'Ba' (?) PLEASE does anyone know this song? Thank you!
Excellent, truly excellent new album. I nearly lost hope in these guys but in getting rid of the (imho lame) pop influences of the last two albums and bringing back the angst, drunken euphoria and urgency of Fuckin A and The Body... - that's really all you could wish for.
I'm disappointed in the new album. It's my first release purchase since discovering them 3 years ago and I expected a solid, epic piece -- but all the songs sound the same to me, nothing stands out and I'm at a loss when it ends. There isn't one song I really found amazing. Here's to hoping it grows on me but after a handful of listens, I feel nothing and it makes me sad to say that.
