There are at least 3 artists named The Stellas:
(1) Founded in the working men's club of Dagenham, Terry Hargreaves met Barry Mitchell on a trip to a New Order gig. The rest, Kev Tyson and Pete Matthews, got together in an East London garage in 2003 to record the sound of the British male. When Terry and Kev went to Sussex Uni, to study BioChemistry, they found a new platform and a niche within the musical spectrum, and decided to share it with the world.
(2) A pleasant blend of female-fronted 50% pop / 40% rock / 5% punk / 5% new wave imported from exotic Oklahoma. The album "Music for Umbrellas" was produced in 2002 by Trent Bell (Chainsaw Kittens, The Flaming Lips). The Stellas are: Raechel (guitar, vocals, keyboards), and John (drums, programming).
(3) The Stellas are a country duo featured on CMT's "Can You Duet." Brad & MaryLynne's daughters perform as Lennon & Maisey.
