Terrific album that almost matches up to their absolute best, but not quite. Still, there are a handful of classics to be found here and even the ones that don't get a lot of radio play ("When the Whip Comes Down," "Before They Make Me Run" and "Far Away Eyes" in particular) are top-notch. The last great album they made (Tattoo You is "very good," I'd say).
We all know the Mick Taylor era is their peak in terms of creativity and artistic achievement, but this album is my second favorite after Exile. The rawness, the aggresive punk-blues hybrid, and those simple but majestic song arrangements are some of the greatest moves by the Stones.
The best of the stones albums where they just showed their level of musical genius that noboby can match. They did everthing ,a little disco(miss u) went a little country(far away eyes) and as always that good old hardcore classic rock n roll we all know and love(repectable). keep on rolling
