Biography

The Reel and Soul Association was a British band from the 2000s that mixed American soul and British Folk music and featured then well-known and emerging British folk artists including Kellie While and Thea Gilmore (sharing lead vocals), together with Maartin Allcock, John Kirkpatrick, Robbie McIntosh, Michael McGoldrick and Simon Swarbrick. The band's eponymously titled album gained considerable mainstream attention which resulted in numerous TV appearances and radio broadcasts including, in the UK, the BBC's Top of the Pops 2.
