22 Dec 2012, 15:59 by guy_like_uIt's nearly Christmastime, and that can only mean one thing - time for a review of 2012! Here is a look back at the albums, artists and songs I enjoyed over the past 12 months. Once again thanks to http://twothreefall.co.uk/ for having a great website to analyse lastFM data!
Artist of the year: Kelly Clarkson
Plays in 2012: 971
(813 plays in 2011 - increase of 15%)
Most played album of 2012: Stronger - 671
Most played track of 2012: What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger) 62
Unquestionably my artist of 2012 is Ms Clarkson (soon to be Mrs Blackstock - congrats Kelly!). I had more over 200 more scrobbles for Kelly than anyone else, even though her last album, Stronger, came out in 2011. This was also my most played of the year, with double the plays of the #2 album. The title track Stronger is my most played track of the year too. All in all, I loved Kelly just as much in 2012 as I ever have…
22 Sep 2012, 16:00 by jhimbobI'm quite excited by this one, decided to do something a little special..
A playlist of my top10 albums of all time, combined with a playlist of my top10 albums of the year, in a competition to see who will take the coveted 100,000 mark of my last.fm history.
The albums for posterity:
1. Commit This to Memory
3. I Am the Movie
4. Like Blood Like Honey
5. We Don't Need to Whisper
6. Everything in Transit
7. So Jealous
8. Even If It Kills Me
9. Minutes to Midnight
1. ¡Hey, Hey Pioneers!
2. An Unwavering Band of Light
5. High Violet
6. Transmitter Failure
10. Bon Iver, Bon Iver
Just a few thoughts on how my music taste has changed in 6 years..
I used to religiously listen to albums over and over and over.. Which I still kind of do, but with a wider range of artists. Motion City and Tegan and Sara were obsessions of mine for the longest time, and I'm not sure I'll ever not love their music…

Kategoria 10/10 zostaje zatem pusta.
Earth - Angels Of Darkness, Demons Of Light 1
Znudziło mi się męczenie znakomitego The Bees Made Honey in the Lion's Skull - i proszę, mistrz kuchni Dylan wysmażył nowy smakołyk. Miód, imbir, kurz i pył. Niby te same składniki, a potrawa kompletnie nowa. W 2012 druga część, jaram się jak pochodnia.
Dale Cooper Quartet & The Dictaphones - Metamanoir
23 Dec 2011, 08:14 by brushfiredIn an effort to organize myself the arduous task called ''Best Albums in 2011'', I have, here, a list of all albums released in 2011 that I have listened to.
01. Let England Shake by PJ Harvey
Key Tunes: England, On Battleship Hill, The Colour of the Earth
Take an artist, any artist, with loads of great albums. Picture that catalog and all its high points. Now imagine me telling you that that very artist has yet to release their best record. Chances are, you wouldn't believe me. I wouldn't believe me. But here we have PJ Harvey who, after two decades of releasing great - even classic, in some cases - records, has released what could very likely go down as her signature record. It's the music. It's the singing. It's the writing. It's the strange ornamentation. Everything comes together here to form a solid, memorable work that ups the ante for anyone trying to make a serious album made to move and inspire. …
