Too damn sad. Hard to hear sometimes...
An I can not hold the candle for every pretty girl
Those double layered vocals = OH MY!
a song full of regrets ! perfect for one last night.
this is the saddest and the most beautiful lyrics that brian will ever write
we were strangers many hours &' I missed you for so long.
Faded like your name on those jeans that I burned
This song is just hauntingly beautiful <3
Can't stop listening to it. :)
He sounds almost like Bono on this one lol
this is a sad fucking song. Certainly took time to grow; just like rest of the AS. Amazing album
we were strangers many hours &' I missed you for so long.
throwing my hands up at this song. i didn't like it at first but it has grown on me so much ♥
I love how his voice is straining to hit the high notes. Agreed. Perfect way to end the album.
It's not Mark Lanegan, it's Brian double-tracked. But Brian's a huge fan of Mark Lanegan, so it makes sense the influence would come out when he's singing in a low register like that.
Have to agree with what everyone here is saying. Stunning track to close a fantastic album.
@Seph7 - That's what i thought as well. Not sure if it is, but it definitely sounds like him.
I can only describe this song as "sadly brilliant"... Love it!
I really really looove this song! <3
love it love it love love it..... and finally getting older...
Is that [artist]Mark Lanegan[/artist] singing the backing?
The most beautiful and epic closure for an album made in the last 5 years. That was the best way to close an album that i can possibly think of.
I love how his voice is straining to hit the high notes.
Perfect ending, best song on the new album.

didn't care much for it at first, but now it's started to grow on me a lot. great ending.
Chills each time. Song's so good.
this song is beautiful, it took me a few spins for it to hit me though
