Saw them open for QOTSA in 2007 without ever hearing of them. My first concert. They absolutely blew me away. Think they only played 4 songs but they left such a huge imprint on me for the rest of the night. First and best concert I've ever been to. I probably saw them another 5 times after that. Amazing band.

Узнал о них по интервью Джейми Стюарта из Xiu Xiu, где он говорил, что музыка The Black Angels, вместе с Joy Division и The Smiths, оказала существенное влияние на его творчество. По мне так довольно серенько, можно выделить несколько цепляющих треков с первого альбома, но не более.
