The redirect from Automatic to The Automatic simply shouldn’t exist though. The British band never released anything without the article. Also note that there have been several bands called Automatic which had been founded way before the British one and all of those scrobbles are being redirected to this incorrect profile as well.

Instead of new bands, it would be more logical for Last.fm to do some research into updating its dinosaur-esque source code, that is, if CBS Interactive permits them to do so... which would be unlikely, as they seem to treat Last.fm as the unwanted step-child in a marriage.
