The Antitones is a recently (c. 2017) formed jazz-fusion band from Rockford, Illinois. Drawing from an eclectic variety of musical styles ranging from: hip-hop, blues, funk, swing, afro-cuban, to jazz, this ten-piece group provides something to listen to for everyone in the audience. The members of the band are: Bryce Strunk on drums, Renee Blaesing on guitar, Peter Hill on bass, Ben Heroux on keys, Kenny Dietz on trombone, William Wayman on trumpet, Ethan Patterson on Percussion/drums, Annon Lomo on Djembe/congas, Ryan Swanson on tenor saxophone, and Sam Campbell on trumpet, flugelhorn, and conga. Audience members have described The Antitones’ sound similar to: Snarky Puppy, Mouse on the Keys, and Tower of Power. On January 22nd of 2018, The Antitones were featured on WNIJ's Sessions from Studio A podcast series; on January 24th of 2018, The Antitones played their release show for their first full-length album, "Seven Five Seven." They sold out their first run of physical CDs and are currently in the process of getting more made.
