"Guilty pleasures"? It really is unbelievable how nearly every 80s pop/rock band winds up with this tag. I have to wonder what these pretentious morons listen to that they consider more so much more "legitimate" in comparison.
Great guys and outstanding music. Worked on the Spirit of 76 video shot in the royal court theatre and around Liverpool they were so nice and they helped me get a job as a runner with the film crew which ened up as me now bieng a 1st assistnat director in films and tv oh and redeye and simon got me so drunk on free ale down at mcmillians arrgg good days.
The kids today should look into the Alarm. They were way better than U2 by the way (s0meone down below says they weren't as good musically as U2 ... hogwash). The edge was good but always stiff as a board while Dave Sharp was akin to painter, a craftsman of the 6 string.
I saw The Alarm on the Eye of the Hurricane tour. It's the only time I've seen them and it stands as one of the top five concerts I've ever been to. Seeing them live was like being at a big tent revival.
Guerilla Tactics', the brand new album by The Alarm is available to order now @ www.thealarm.com.
'Guerilla Tactics' is available as a download direct from www.thealarm.com (the only place where you can get the complete album on the internet), or in traditional CD/DVD format. The CD/DVD format comes in a double gatefold wallet with a bonus 'Guerilla Television' DVD.
We have created a brand new Digital Store on the front page of www.thealarm.com that enables fans from around the world to gain access to the new Alarm music from Day One. Once again, The Alarm is one of the first bands in the world to be a part of this latest chapter in the digital revolution. Inside the store you can also purchase videos for the new tracks (iPod compatible),
Tickets for shows and also (something I am personally very excited about), 'The Guerilla Tactics Songbook'
I will be honouring the release of the album by playing live in Times Square, New York City on Tuesday 8th July at 12:30 p.m.
Please come and join me and if you can, bring your laptop. You will literally be able to download the album in the street, or be the first to get a signed copy of the 'Guerilla Tactics' CD/DVD in the USA at the event that is being billed as the world's first ever Digital In/Out Store.
