It starts off with typical shoegaze, which evolves into a glitchy part that separates the light shoegaze from the complex, dreamy second half of the song. This symbolizes the two parts in the relationship, the first (presumably) representing the boy who has found someone else, and the second the girl who despite being lovesick, wants the boy to be happy, and wants him to share the same light he gave to her.
